Do you want to support a cause? 

If you don’t see the cause you want to support, contact the organization and let them know.

If you want to support a specific project or member of the organization, make sure the organization lets us know.

If you want to receive support this way, let your sponsoring organization know about this opportunity.

If there’s no specific project or individual designated, we'll donate to the organization. This means the donation will most likely go into the organization’s general fund to be used as the organization’s leaders see fit. This isn’t a bad thing – it’s just something to be aware of in case you'd rather have the donation used for something in particular.

Now for the bad news: because we're making the donation, we get to deduct it as a donation, not the individuals who buy copies of the book.

Support your causes online

Here's how to do it:

• Select the cause you want to support via the PayPal shopping cart and select the number of books you want to buy.
• Order only from the "Support your favorite causes" web page.
• Provide any special instructions.
• Because we only donate to organizations, make sure you tell us anything more specific.
•  If it’s a specific project or individual within the organization, let us know that so we can designate the donation correctly. Otherwise, the money will go to the organization's general fund.
•  Let us know if you want to remain anonymous. Otherwise, we'll provide your name to the organization so they’ll know whom to thank.
•  Check out and complete the transaction.
•  Enjoy the book when you receive it, and happily think of the money being used to promote your cause.

Let us know you want to use these book purchases as a support channel.

Provide proof of your 501(c)3 status, an Internet address, and a mailing address so we can verify the non-profit standing.

Let us know if the cause is your organization in general or if we should designate a specific project or individual.

• For example, some organizations seek donations for particular development projects, and others have members raising funds to support those members’ work.
• Otherwise, the funds will go to the organization's general fund.
